Hey! So I just heard that the NFL draft is coming up really soon. To be honest, I’m a bit excited. I’m kind of an NFL football fan, so I’ve been anxiously awaiting to see who’s getting drafted this year! It’s not every day that one’s chance of becoming a professional is at stake!
I hear that the draft is starting at 8 pm EST night on April 29th. I’m definitely not going to be late for this one! I wouldn’t want to miss out on anything, considering how exciting draft night always is. I’m already imagining all the strategies teams have been working on for weeks!
I think I’m most excited to see the rookie class this year. It usually makes for a great show with some talented players. A lot of surprises generally happen during the draft and I’m sure coaches are looking forward to it too! As much as I already know though, teams can still make a complete U-turn with their picks. I can’t wait to see who prevails in their strategy this year.
I’m also curious to see how much teams are going to prioritize certain positions this season. I’m sure it is an important part of each teams’ draft strategy. Some teams might decide to diversify their roster, whereas others might decide to double down on a particular position.
I’m excited to see how teams adjust their current line ups with the new picks! Every year, while the focus is obviously on the players, I feel like coaches’ strategies during the draft also tell them a lot about upcoming seasons. I’m already imagining the rosters of the successful teams!
And to the rookies – I’m particularly excited for you guys! It must be so thrilling to hear your names being called and your draft stock going up. That’s definitely a moment of your life you’re never going to forget. Good luck, and make sure you put your best foot forward!
The fun isn’t just limited to the new talent though. I’m also really pumped to see what veteran players decide to do this year. A lot of teams have always shown interest in certain veteran players so I’m curious to see who places where. All in all, I’m sure this draft night will be really fantastic!
It’s also going to be interesting to see how teams value certain positions this year. We’ve already witnessed some unexpectedly high salaries for certain positions and I’m sure teams will be extra mindful of the money they put out this year.
The pre-draft process is always exciting – with teams visiting potential players, putting them through rigorous drills and finally deciding on the prospects. The anticipation levels have already risen to the ceiling and it hasn’t even started!
