I’m so excited to talk about the NFL this week! All of the teams have been playing their hearts out, and I’m so eager to see which teams end up on top. Here are my picks for this week; I think they’ll surprise you!
First up, the Cowboys are facing off against the Seattle Seahawks. They’re coming off an impressive two-game streak, so I’m rooting for them to make it three! Dallas has a great defense and their offense has been clicking all season. The Seahawks have a solid defense too, but I’m not sure if they can contain the Cowboys’ explosive offense. In the end, I’m predicting a Cowboys victory, but it won’t be an easy game.
Next, the Baltimore Ravens have a matchup with the New England Patriots. The Ravens have been on a tear lately, and they’re coming into this game with a lot of confidence. New England is still a formidable opponent though, and their defense is always tough. I’m expecting a ferocious battle, and the Ravens’ offense could turn out to be the deciding factor. Ultimately, I’m going with Baltimore to come away victorious in this one.
The third matchup this week pits the San Francisco 49ers against the Cleveland Browns. The 49ers have a stout defense, and their offense is getting better and better with every game. The Browns defense isn’t too shabby either, but they’re missing some key pieces. I think the 49ers will squeak out a win on this one, but they’ll need to execute perfectly if they want to come away with the victory.
Fourth on my list is the Denver Broncos versus the Kansas City Chiefs. This will be a hard game to call, as both teams have great defenses and explosive offenses. The Broncos have been on fire lately, so they’re certainly the favorite going into this game. I think the KC defense could be the difference maker in this one. I’m predicting a Broncos win here, but it will be a close contest.
Finally, the Green Bay Packers are taking on the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers have the upper hand in this one; they have a strong defense and a potent offense that can score in a hurry. The Vikings have a lot of talent, but their defense has been struggling lately. I’m calling this one in favor of the Packers; they just have too much firepower for the Vikings to handle.

According to The Athletic, “The Cowboys’ divisional title hopes still live thanks to the close-knit roster forged in a season when anything could happen.” Faith in the team, and unity among its players has been key to their success. Also, their mental preparedness and strict adherence to strategy have been major factors in their emergence as a top team. No matter the situation, the Cowboys have been resilient and focused, embracing every challenge and striving to win.
The Baltimore Ravens have an impeccable record this season and it’s based on a strong team spirit. According to the team’s website, Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh has “cultivated strong relationships throughout the locker room by fostering a ‘family atmosphere’ mentality and a shared commitment to the ‘team-first’ concept”. This unity and togetherness has been critical for the Ravens to have the success they currently enjoy, as it helps eliminate individual agendas in favor of collective success.
San Francisco 49ers are the reigning champs and looking to make it back-to-back Superbowl wins. Crediting their success to having a fan-focused football culture is paramount to the success they’ve had this season. Their strategy of disregarding the standard of success, and instead they’re focusing on creating a team atmosphere that allows players to bond and develop a strong passion for the game is what has got them to the top. Coach Kyle Shanahan has also been a key factor in the team’s success this season. He has managed to develop an effective offensive strategy by focusing less on the individual, and instead relying on an ecosystem of playmakers within the offense.
The Denver Broncos have had an incredible season, ending with a berth in the playoffs! With a great defense, clever offensive strategy, and creative play-calling from the coaches, it’s no surprise that the Broncos have been able to find success this season. The biggest factor for their success has been their tenacity and will to win. Regardless of the score, the Broncos team always seems to play until the last second, and they have shown time and time again that they have the ability to come back from any score. They are also no strangers to making difficult plays, and their never-give-up attitude has helped them achieve incredible deadlines.
Finally, the Green Bay Packers. With a hugely talented team, this has been the year for the Packers to succeed. And they have indeed. Everyone has played their role, from astute play calling to effective coaching and a cohesive offense, the Packers have been a model of consistency. Tight end Jimmy Graham has especially been instrumental in the team’s successes, and he has set career-highs in several receiving categories. Furthermore, Aaron Rodgers has been having a career year in which he has set franchise records for most passing touchdowns in a single season and most passing yards in a single season. All these factors have undoubtedly led the team to the top this year.
Now that we’ve looked at these top teams, what should we take away from their strategies? What can we learn from their habits, attitudes, and conduct that we can use in our own lives? Despite being great football teams, in essence they’re just like us – people constantly striving for greatness, and that’s one thing we can all strive to emulate. We can all learn from their consistent work ethic, humble attitudes, and collective mindset, and apply them to our own lives. We can set clear goals for ourselves, work to develop our skills, and give in our best efforts to reach the top!
