Then I started to prepare.​ I updated my resume with all of the programs I had learned over the past few years.​ I made sure to highlight my strengths as a coach and leader, and I included any completed journalism courses I had taken.​

Let me tell you all about some of the most memorable highlights from this year’s season.​

Interjecting with enthusiasm, the first highlight that comes to mind is the incredible “Hail Mary” pass delivered by Ben Roethlisberger in the final seconds of the Pittsburgh vs.​ Jacksonville game.​ As the ball sailed through the air, it felt like the entire stadium was holding its breath, never realizing that this throw was going to make it into the end zone.​ Everyone was elated when his pass landed in the hands of Antonio Brown for the game-winning touchdown!

I asked around, and sure enough, the rumors were true.​ Most of these players have to get up as early as 5 in order to be on time for practice .​ Not only that, but there are apparently times in which they have to be up at the crack of dawn for additional training, which I found rather absurd.​ I mean, we all know that athletes have to work hard to become the best in the game, but sometimes it can go a bit too far.​

The more I thought about this situation, the more questions I had in my head.​ Do these players ever get downtime? How much sleep are they actually getting per night? Do the early mornings have any short-term or long-term effects? I wanted to get answers, so I decided to reach out to someone in the field.​

I was lucky enough to get in touch with a former NFL player, who explained the situation to me in detail.​ He said that these teams do their best to ensure that players get at least 8 hours of sleep each night, but that sometimes they are just too tired to make it past 5 in the morning.​ He also highlighted that these rigorous training camps are necessary for players to become competitive in the field.​

My friend, I had the privilege of attending the NFL Draft when our cousin, Nolan Smith, was finally drafted.​ I couldn’t believe it – I had been rooting for Nolan since the moment he declared for the draft.​ After a grueling evaluation process and months of buildup, I was so incredibly proud of Nolan for reaching the biggest milestone of his career.​

The energy surrounding the draft night was contagious; you could feel the excitement in the air.​ As each team’s selection came in, the tension was building.​ Everyone in attendance was buzzing, when, out of nowhere, Nolan hung up the phone – he had just been picked! I was absolutely ecstatic and couldn’t help but jump for joy.​

The whole experience of being there felt surreal and I could see the joy in Nolan’s eyes.​ His family was overwhelmed with happiness, tears of joy and pride streaming down their faces as they embraced each other.​ This moment in Nolan’s life was truly special and I am just so proud of him and his accomplishments.​

I knew from the beginning that Nolan was destined for greatness.​ He had been training tirelessly to prepare himself for the draft.​ I could see the way he was always pushing himself, pushing past doubts and working incredibly hard to reach his goal of getting drafted.​ This moment was the perfect example of his hard work.​

It was evident right away the kind of impact the draft had on Nolan; he was taken aback and even overcome with emotion.​ All the years of dedication and sacrifice had officially paid off.​ This was a moment that will define Nolan for the rest of his life and I was honored to witness it.​

Moreover, it was just an honor to witness a moment of true joy, pride, and accomplishment.​ Nolan is setting his sights on the future and I couldn’t be more excited and proud for him.​ I know the impact he will have on the NFL will be priceless – the league is lucky to have him!

Now that I’ve shared my story of how Nolan Smith achieved his dream of being drafted into the NFL, I wanted to expand by talking a bit more about the journey he made to get to the draft.​

must win nfl games today

It’s that time of year to get excited about the big NFL games ahead of us! With so many teams vying for a championship, watching the games can be a really thrilling experience.​

Today is going to be an epic day of NFL games, and I’m confident that all the teams have the potential to win it all.​ And I, for one, am on the edge of my seat to find out who will be victorious.​

I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos.​ These two teams have been rivals for ages and, no matter what, it’s going to be an intense game!

I’m going to be rooting for the Chiefs tonight, but I’m frankly excited to see the way the game plays out.​ As a devoted fan, I’m confident that their hard work and preseason preparation will ensure a winning game.​

But, that’s not to say the Broncos don’t have something special up their sleeves! As their biggest fans will say, the Broncos are not to be underestimated, and they will bring a tough and competitive game to the field.​

Either way, I can’t wait to settle in with a giant bowl of popcorn and watch the show as the two teams battle it out! It’s going to be a game for the ages!

Now, for some of the other games on the slate tonight, I’m keeping a close eye on the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins.​ Both teams are coming into the season hot, so tonight’s could be a battle royale for sure!

The Patriots have a storied history when it comes to winning, and they’ve got a lot of veterans on the roster that could step up and push them to victory.​ On the other hand, the Dolphins have an up-and-coming team of young stars that could surprise us with their athleticism.​

And, of course, I can’t forget about the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens! These teams are perennial contenders for the top spot in the league, and this years’ game should be no exception.​

It’s always exciting to watch the seasoned veterans of the Steelers take on the youngsters of the Ravens.​ Who knows, both teams could pull out all the stops and make for a thrilling game!

Finally, the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams always put on a good show.​ Who will prove their mettle and stay in the running for the coveted championship? I’m sure we’ll find out tonight!

No matter what, today’s NFL games are sure to be some of the best we’ve had in years.​ And I’m excited to see all the effort and enthusiasm put forth by each team as the winners take the field.​
