It’s an interesting question: do any other countries really enjoy the NFL? It’s been one of my favorite sports for years, and I’m certainly biased. But I think the answer is yes, and it’s reasonable to think that there are many countries with strong fanbases that follow the games.
I remember one time when I visited Japan—a country that loves everything American—I was so surprised to find NFL jerseys on sale in some of the shops. It’s not just jerseys though, t-shirts and hats too. It’s clear that they’re rooting for their favorite teams.
And I’ve also noticed that there are the British pubs that show all the games. And the live streaming platforms too, you can often find a lot of people from around the globe making comments on games. It definitely shows that the NFL has a global following.
It’s also interesting to note that some of the most popular NFL stars are Japanese, such as Tom Brady, Marshawn Lynch, and Richard Sherman. NFL players are often seen as international celebrities, and you can definitely see that happening with many of these popular players.
It’s no wonder then that the NFL has such a strong presence around the world. It’s a game that has the potential to draw in fans, regardless of location or language. There’s always a chance to either watch the game, or learn about it.
The NFL also stages international games to help spread awareness. There have been a number of games staged in both London and Mexico City—both locations that had historically low ratings for the NFL. But now, ratings for these stadiums are higher than ever before, proving that other countries really do enjoy the NFL.
In many ways, the NFL has helped break down barriers. By providing content that most fans can understand and appreciate, the league has been able to build a strong following in other countries. This makes the NFL more popular than ever—not just in the United States, but also in other countries as well.
Technology has also changed the way that international fans watch the game. There are more options than ever to watch football games, including streaming services, dedicated channels, and online streaming services. This way, more people from around the world have access to the games they love.
Perhaps one of the more important aspects of the NFL that has helped it become a worldwide phenomenon is the way it has embraced technology. From its digital presence to its ability to be broadcasted over physical and digital platforms, the NFL truly has done a great job at getting its content out to the world.
