I am sure many of you have heard the news that the NFL is now in talks of merging with the XFL. It may seem really exciting at first thought, can you really play in both the NFL and the XFL?
Well here I am to tell you, yes you really can! With the right amount of work and dedication, playing in the NFL and the XFL can be a real possibility. Let me explain how.
Firstly, there are multiple pathways that a potential XFL and NFL player can take to make their dreams a reality. Whether you are a college graduate, a free agent, or an undrafted rookie, all of these categories offer a platform for budding athletes to make their dreams become reality.
The most popular pathway to making this happen is by making your mark in college football. By attending college and playing at an exceptional level for your college team, you can separate yourself from the other players around you and really make your name known. This is the option I chose. During my college career, I worked my hardest to achieve my goals of making it to the NFL.
When I eventually went for my NFL tryout, I was ready to make an impression. I was ready to prove I had the skill set necessary to get drafted into the NFL. I did not get drafted during that season, but I knew that this was only the beginning and that I had the ability to make it on to an NFL team if I kept at it.
The most important thing to remember during this journey is to never give up, no matter the challenges throw on the way. With values such as perseverance and resilience, I was able to make the most of my circumstance. With this new found energy I applied for XFL, and I knew that if I could make it past the tryouts that I also had what it takes to play in the NFL.
That day I did make it into XFL, and that fateful day opened new doors for my career. I kept playing in the XFL for half a season and during that time I worked hard to stand out from the competition. And it was until 7th game into the XFL season, that I finally received the call from an NFL team who was interested in recruiting me! That is when I knew that I had fulfilled my dreams, and now I could play in both the NFL and XFL .
It’s great to know that if you work hard and never give up on your dreams, then you really can play in the NFL and XFL. But the real test comes in training. NFL games are much faster, much more physical, and much more demanding than even the XFL. To make it in that league, you have to be in top condition. At first, your body might be taken aback by the sheer pace of an NFL game, but with practice and dedication, you’ll be able to adapt.
As any talent scout will tell you, the difference between success and failure in the NFL comes down to commitment. You can’t just go in expecting the world if you don’t put in the work. I would recommend changing up your routines, spending time in the gym, and doing as many drills as possible. That’s the key to really thriving in the NFL. Think of it like a game of chess, you have to strategize and be one step ahead of your opponents.
Something to keep in mind as well is that it’s not just about playing the game anymore. It’s about understanding the game. You have to look at things from a bird’s eye perspective and learn the different strategies and styles of play used by different teams. That’s how you will make yourself stand out in the eyes of scouts and succeed in both the NFL and XFL.
You have to remember that as an NFL and XFL player, you are always on the clock. Training should be a part of your day-to-day life. You are always competing, always pushing yourself to get better. It’s a game of inches so to speak, but with perseverance and commitment, you can make your dreams come true and play in the NFL and XFL.
