Josh Allen has been in the NFL for three years now. Since being drafted seventh overall in 2018, he’s been one of the league’s most exciting and electrifying young talents, and he’s clearly on the rise.
I remember the first time I saw Josh play. He was a rookie and he was absolutely lights-out on the field. As a gunslinger quarterback, he has the ability to make any throw and he isn’t afraid to take risks. His ability to make plays and extend drives with his arms and his legs is simply incredible.
Since then, Josh Allen has only gotten better. He’s worked tirelessly this offseason to improve his game with the help of one of the strongest coaching staffs in the league, and the results are paying off. The Buffalo Bills look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender this year, and it’s all thanks to Josh Allen.
He’s started to become a leader in the locker room and on the field, and he’s clearly taken the next step in his development as a player. He’s a smart quarterback who doesn’t get rattled and he’s able to make the right decision in pressure situations.
I know Josh will only get better. He’s got the work ethic, drive and talent to take his game to the next level and become one of the best players in the league. I can’t wait to see what he does this season and beyond.
The Next level
Josh really seems to be taking his game to the next level. This year he’s already thrown for more pass completions than last year, and he’s been making the tough passes look easy. His accuracy has improved tremendously and his touchdowns are really something to watch.
It’s also clear that Allen’s ability to extend plays outside the pocket is getting better and better. He can easily scramble for big gains and pick up valuable yards on broken plays. He’s also making stronger connections with his receivers it seems like each week.
Off the Field
What’s been even more impressive to me is Josh’s ability to stay tough and remain focused off the field. He’s still just a third-year player and it couldn’t be a tougher time to be a professional athlete with the world in chaos. But Josh is handling everything with poise and maturity.
It’s been inspiring to see Josh become a leader off the field with his work in the community and his support of his teammates. He’s even started a foundation to help out kids in need. You can really tell what kind of person he is and how much winning really means to him.

I can’t wait to see what this season has in store for Josh Allen and the Bills. Every Bills fan should have high hopes for their team’s success this year, and I know that becomes even more possible with our star quarterback at the helm. Here’s to another great year for our team and for Josh!
The Mental Side of the Game
Josh has been really focusing on the mental side of the game as well this offseason. He’s been spending a lot of time in the film room and on the practice field getting accustomed to all of his receivers’ routes and timing. His teammates have also commented on his improved knowledge of the playbook.
What’s more, his coaches have said that Josh has started to do a better job of dialing in his focus and staying locked in despite the chaos of the game. This is a huge step forward in polishing off everything Josh brings to the table.
Explosive Plays
The explosive plays that he makes with his arm and legs each week are amazing. His ability to escape the pocket and buy time while his receivers get open in the end zone is something that we often see on the highlight reels.
Whenever the pocket collapses around him, you can see the determination on his face as he sheds defenders and continues to look downfield for a play. In a year full of unpredictable situations, Josh Allen is the one constant in Buffalo’s offense.
The Connection
The chemistry and connection that he’s formed with his receivers is noticeable. He trusts them to make the right decisions and they trust him to make the perfect throw. It’s led to some of the most impressive passing connections in the league and it’s something that goes deeper than just being teammates.
His chemistry with Stefon Diggs has been something special to watch, with Allen connecting onscroll-breaking bombs and Diggs making tight window catches. As Josh and his receivers continue to grow and build a stronger rapport, the Bills continue to look more dangerous.
The Streak
Josh Allen also has the Bills on a five-game win streak and they look like one of the hottest teams in the league right now. Every week, it seems like Josh is making the type of throws and plays that have a big impact on the game. Thanks to him, Buffalo’s hopes of making the playoffs look very strong.
It has been a fun three years watching Josh Allen develop and grow into the kind of player we all knew he could be. He’s as dynamic as ever and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for him and the Bills this season. Go Buffalo!
