It has been two long years since Mitchell Trubisky stepped foot into the NFL. Man, it’s been a wild ride. Looking back and taking stock of how far the kid from Tennessee has come from his rookie year is pretty incredible!
At the start of it all, nobody really knew too much about who Mitchell Trubisky was or the level of talent he could bring to the game. It was a massive gamble by the then-coaching staff of the Chicago Bears, but one that could potentially pay off in spades down the line.
After the season was kicked off, it was quickly evident that the gamble was a good one. Right away, Trubisky had the skill and intelligence to be a playmaker for the Bears. During that rookie season, he threw for nearly 3000 yards and had 12 TD passes to his name.
The following season saw Trubisky take it to the next level, showing off a deeper knowledge of the game, the playbook, and the environment he was in. It was exciting to see him be able to be so calculated and to read the defense in a way that allowed him to make decisions on the fly and to better the team’s success.
By the end of his third year in the league, there were a number of records being set with Trubisky’s name on them. He was breaking out into the “elite” category of players and it was really impressive to see. His skills were being recognized league-wide now, and it was a breath of fresh air.
Heading into the fourth season of his career, the expectations were high. Unfortunately, the fourth season didn’t quite go as planned, for a variety of reasons, and Trubisky was benched in favor of the younger, more established nick foles. Despite that, he still proved his worth and maintained a level of poise throughout the season, even when it wasn’t his playing on the field.
Now, after five seasons in the NFL, Trubisky is no longer the inexperienced rookie; he’s become a force to be reckoned with. His ability to read and react quickly has developed and his knowledge of the game is higher than ever. It’s been a pleasure to watch him grow and develop into what he is today, and it’ll be great to see what lies ahead for this young QB.
Looking back at his first season in the league and all the records he’s broken since then, it’s incredible to see just how far Mitchell Trubisky has come. He’s managed to carve out a niche for himself in the NFL and it’s been exciting to watch him develop with each new season. Now, he’s on the path to be considered one of the best QBs in the league.
It’s pretty remarkable to see just how far Trubisky has gone in such a short time. Seeing him develop his talents and become the go-to guy for an NFL offense is something special, and it will be even more exciting to watch him in the upcoming seasons. There’s no telling what the future holds for Trubisky, but it’s sure to be incredible.
Now onto his second five seasons, it will be interesting to see if Trubisky can maintain the same level of success or if he can improve even more. He’s certainly hitting his stride in the league and has the foundation to do some really good things. His consistency on the field has been top-notch and he’s been able to remain injury free for the majority of his career, which is another great boost for him.
The big question now is if Trubisky can maintain the same level of success and success or if he can take it one step further. It will take some hard work, dedication, and of course the right support from his teammates, coaches, and the fans to reach the same level of greatness that some of the greats have in the league.
He’ll need to stay focused, play with confidence, and keep a never give up attitude if he wants to prove himself and prove doubters wrong. He has all the right ingredients to be a star in the league, and it’s going to be a fun journey watching him as he strives to do just that.
