I recently heard from my friend that he had bought a new Chromecast device and he was excited to stream NFL Gamepass on it. He asked me if I was interested in checking it out. I was excited to be honest! I thought to myself, ‘this might be the best way to watch the games this season.’ So, I said yes to my friend and we set out to find out if the Chromecast would work with NFL Gamepass.
When we got to my friend’s house, he set up the Chromecast and we opened the NFL Gamepass app on his TV. As soon as the app loaded, we were slightly disappointed. The NFL Gamepass logo was showing on the TV but there was no button to cast it on the Chromecast. This meant that Chromecast didn’t support the NFL Gamepass app. We were a bit despondent but still talked about the possibilities if it did work.
We then decided to do some research and see if it was even possible to watch NFL Gamepass on the Chromecast. We discovered that it was indeed possible, but not directly. We had to first cast the laptop or cellphone screen to the Chromecast and then play the NFL Gamepass on it. This meant that we had to first download the NFL Gamepass app on the laptop or the phone, which was kind of tedious but doable.
Then we opened the NFL Gamepass app on the laptop and casted the screen to the Chromecast. All the options associated with the app were now visible on the TV! We clicked on the play button and in no time the game was live and we were watching it on the big screen. It was such a relief and a sigh of pleasure!
Even though we were now able to watch the games on the Chromecast, the process was a bit complicated. We had to cast the laptop or phone screen to the Chromecast every time we wanted to watch the game. This was not ideal as the whole process took about 5 minutes and that too just to watch a single game.
We thought of other possible solutions to watch the NFL Gamepass on the Chromecast directly. We thought about the use of a browser extension or a web application that could be used. But unfortunately, none of them were available. We were sad but still wished for this solution to one day become available for us.
Next, we decided to look into the subscription plans offered by the NFL Gamepass. We were pleased to know that there were several subscription plans available, so we could watch the games on our own terms. We could pay monthly, quarterly or even for the whole season and get access to all the games. We liked the idea and decided to get the monthly subscription.
After we got the subscription, we were all set to watch the NFL games for the whole season. We were still perplexed about the fact that we had to cast the laptop or phone screen but that was a price we had to pay to enjoy the best games on the big screen.
As we got into the season, we found ways to make the casting process smoother and quicker. We decided to open the NFL Gamepass app on the laptop when the game was about to start and connect it to the Chromecast in advance. This way, we were all set to cast it and watch the game without the hassle of setup.
Furthermore, we found some innovating ways to use the Chromecast too. We used the Chromecast to stream the games to other devices. For instance, we connected the Chromecast to the TV and then streamed our preferred games to other devices like smartphones, laptops, and tablets. This meant that we could watch the games anytime and anywhere.
