are nfl football games broadcast in 4k

Oh man, I don’t know how I feel about NFL football games being broadcast in 4K. It’s not like we need any greater resolution than what we already have, and if you’re watching on a 4K TV then you won’t even be able to tell the difference because all the games are actually just being broadcast in HD. But I can see why they’re doing it, the whole trend is 4K right now, and the NFL wants to stay relevant. It’s kinda nice, I guess, but I’m not sure it’s really necessary.

I mean, when it comes down to it, how much better can the picture look? All the games are still in HD, it’s just that the 4K TVs offer better clarity and better colors, right? I mean, designers and special effects crews are kind of relying on the 4K TVs for their jobs, but when it comes to sports like football, I don’t know if it really makes much of a difference.

Plus, going from HD to 4K isn’t like you’re suddenly going to get a higher quality image. I heard someone say that it’s like how going from DVD to Blu-ray isn’t suddenly going to give you a clearer image. It’s just more of the same product but with more clarity. So it’s not like the NFL is suddenly going to look so much better in 4K than HD.

I don’t know. To me, it’s like a gimmick more than anything. We already have the best picture quality with HD, and going up to 4K isn’t suddenly going to make things better. But I guess it does make it easier for certain people in the video production field to do their job. I’m not sure it’s really necessary for NFL football games, though.

So yeah, that’s my two cents. I’m not really a fan of the NFL being broadcast in 4K, mainly because I don’t see it as being necessary. But, I guess it could be beneficial to people in the production side, and I understand why the NFL would want to be up with the latest trends. In the end, I’m just glad we have the HD broadcasts, and I’m content with that.
