I just read an article about how the NFL rigged the Super Bowl and I’m still reeling in shock. I’ve been a football fan for over two decades, and I never could have imagined such a thing could be possible. It’s almost like I’m living in an alternate reality.
I remember watching the Super Bowl back in 2019, and I was sure that either the Rams or the Patriots would win that year. But, according to the article, the NFL Commissioner had been working with the tem to make sure the Rams came out on top. It’s hard to believe that something like this was done behind closed doors.
The thing that scares me the most is that the NFL could have impacted the outcome of any game. If they could rig the biggest sporting event of the year, then there’s no telling what lengths they could go to to try and tilt the playing field in their favor.
I guess this is just a sign of the times – a reminder that corruption is alive and well. It’s a bummer that even something as exciting as the Super Bowl isn’t safe from cheating. I just want to be able to trust that the game I’m watching is actually fair.
On the other hand, I suppose it’s not all bad. This scandal has people talking – it’s a chance to point out the flaws in our system and to call for more transparency in sports. And maybe once we all start realizing just how widespread this type of thing is, we’ll be able to do something to make sure it never happens again.
And that’s what really matters – that we make sure this kind of corruption in sports never happens again. We need to remember that while sports may be entertainment, they have a real impact on our lives. And if the people in power are willing to rig the results, then they aren’t taking that responsibility seriously.
Now that I’ve had some time to process this news, I’m feeling a bit angry – and I’m not alone. There are a lot of people out there that are asking why the NFL thought this was ok and what repercussions they’re willing to face. I’m inspired to keep fighting for transparency and fairness in sports, no matter the cost.
