Well, it’s nearly that time again… The 2022 NFL Playoffs have arrived! With the regular season completed, teams are now in a heated shootout to make it all the way to the Super Bowl. I couldn’t be more excited for what is sure to be a wildly entertaining playoff schedule.
Since I’m an avid football fan, I’ve been counting down the days until the playoffs kick off. The intensity and passion of a playoff game is unlike any other. To see the genuine heartbreak and heartbreaking joy from every player and fan as the game comes to a thrilling conclusion is truly incredible.
The first round of the playoffs will take place on January 7, 2022 with the Wild Card Round. 16 teams will compete for 4 spots in the following weeks. All the games will be broadcasted on the big networks for all fans to cherish and enjoy. The teams that succeed will move on to the Divisional Round the next week on January 14 and battle for a spot in the championship.
Another factor that I’m jazzed about is the NFL Playoff matchups each week. It’s always a fun guessing game to see which teams will meet and which matchups will be the more even and exciting ones. This is everyone’s favorite part of the playoff schedule, so I can’t wait to make my predictions and see what the matchups will be.
The following weeks will also bring tons of action. The AFC and NFC Championships will follow on Saturday, January 28, and the Super Bowl will be held in Tampa Bay, Florida on Sunday, February 6. It’s quite a long way off, but I’m already wishing the teams the best and rooting for my their success.
Now, as if this wasn’t enough, there are plenty of other extra activities to partake in during the 2022 playoffs. From a slew of exciting halftime performances to post-game festivities, there are so many opportunities to get immersed in the playoff experience and celebrate the great sport of football.
Overall, there’s no doubt that the 2022 NFL Playoffs are going to be a memorable and memorable event. I’m honestly so pumped to see which teams make it all the way and who will end up as victorious at the Super Bowl. I can guarantee that I won’t miss a single second of the action!
Now that I have commenced the build up to the NFL Play-off 2021/2022, let’s expand and discuss the possible changes we can expect to be made this year in the teams, lineup and Super Bowl predictive outlooks.
Firstly, for the teams: Already major changes have taken place, such as the switch of Patrick Mahomes from the Chiefs to the Panthers, and the expected switch to quarterback Josh Allen at the Jaguars means its definately going to be an unpredictable season for the teams. With a strong wide receiver market, we should also expect to see some major changes in the way teams line up for the 2022 play-off.
Another important factor to look into is the injury outbreaks that disrupted major teams such as the Colts during the regular season. Possibile rule changes or protective mechanisms need to be considered in order for these problems to be eliminated altogether from the play-offs.
Thirdly, the Super Bowl Predictions. Each season the titan(s) of football that are expected to make it to the Super Bowl obviously change. That said, I will only mention one name; Atlanta. With the return of Julio Jones to full strength, they should have no problem making it to the Super Bowl provided their current defense can compensate for the attacking stance they’ve adopted.
I am sure most fans will agree that the heightened expectations for Atlanta to make it to the Super Bowl are even higher this year, as they are one of the few teams to have a working offensive-defensive balance. With that said, we should also remember that anything can happen in football, and all the predictions in the world cannot guarantee an outcome.
Speaking of which, I believe the 2022 NFL playoffs will not only provide an amazing year of football, but that it will also provide us with enough insults, let-downs, and upsets to keep all of us guessing. No matter who is playing and where, I believe that the unpredictability of the 2022 playoffs will make them even more exciting to watch.
The 2022 playoffs will also be the first year of the new “Super Bowl Award”, and this makes them even more intriguing. This award will be given to the team who has managed to capture the essence of the playoffs; that includes a mixture of great plays, overall team work, and most importantly, resilience.
Resilience is something we see a lot in football, whether it is in a team bouncing back from a poor season, or a single player facing adversity and bouncing back stronger. This “Super Bowl Award” will be a great addition to the NFL’s playoff season, and it will distinguish the team that was able to overcome challenges and be the most resilient.
Finally, I believe the 2022 NFL Playoffs will be full of exciting changes, and I can’t wait to see how everything plays out. From major shake-ups in teams and the “Super Bowl Award” to the unpredictable play-offs of the coming season, I am sure we are set for a wild ride!
