When I hear people talking about the NFL package, I can’t help but shake my head. It’s a lot of money for something that a lot of people aren’t interested in. I mean, sure, I can understand people wanting to follow their favorite football team, but to spend that much money on something they may not even watch most of the time, that’s hard to justify.
Sure, the NFL package provides exclusive access to games not available on television, but for the majority of people who are only mildly interested in football, that’s about enough reason to not buy it. The only people I know that have bought the NFL package are the hardcore die-hard fans that just have to see every game their team plays regardless if the game is on television or not.
So, how much does the NFL package cost? The prices vary from year to year, but right now the package cost around $250. That’s not pocket change for most people. For that kind of money, you can buy four really nice meals at a five-star restaurant, or the latest gaming console. But, not to bash on the NFL package, it does have a lot to offer for those that want it.
Most people are offered the package in the form of a yearly subscription. For one fee, you get access to every NFL game for an entire year. Also, the package comes with various types of perks that are exclusive to the NFL package, such as free merchandise and discounts to the NFL store. Plus, most providers offer rewards and bonuses for being subscribed to the package for a certain amount of time.
But, overall, is the package really worth it? That’s a personal preference you have to decide for yourself. You have to weigh out the pros and cons and decide if you can get more value from something else. For instance, if you’re not an avid fan of football, the package might be better used for something else.
I mean, I could just watch the NFL games on TV for the occasional game that I might care to watch. I can do without the subscription. Sure, I’m missing out on some exclusive content, but it’s not enough for me to highly consider the package.
I know some people that say it’s a win-win situation because they’re getting access to all the NFL games for one fee – and that does sound pretty good. But if you’re not into NFL football and are just looking for entertainment, then there are probably other options that are much cheaper than the NFL package.
For instance, I can rent movies and watch all the entertainment I want, instead of spending money on a game that I don’t particularly care about. I also have more freedom with renting movies, especially if I have an unlimited rental plan that gives me access to thousands of titles.
Also, I can save money by watching my local sports teams if I’m looking for good sports entertainment. There are a lot of free and affordable options to choose from – from watching the games on TV, to following a local baseball or basketball team. Plus, I get to experience the game live. I think that’s something that’s worth more than a subscription to watch football.
Also, I could get other paid services that offer content such as movies and shows, and even sports games from other leagues. And I get to pick what I want to watch, instead of limiting to whatever comes with an NFL package.
And although I have the choice to watch an NFL game on TV, I can also choose not to pay a single dime and still enjoy the games. Streaming services like YouTube, Twitch, and Hulu are all free and offer decent quality content.
As for the cost of the NFL package, when looking at the number, it may look expensive. But when weighed against all other options, it may not be as bad. It all depends on what you’re looking for and how much you’re willing to pay for it.
