Yesterday was the NFL opening day, and I’m so excited! I’ve been going crazy all week, anticipating the event. All of my friends and I were so hyped up for it, and it was awesome to see all of that enthusiasm for sports.

I took my seat in the stadium, and I almost cried with joy. Once the singing started and the players ran out of the tunnel, I felt an incredible bliss. I jumped up and down in my seat, laughing and cheering while waving my team’s flag. I could feel the pulsing energy of the stadium, filled with excitement and adrenaline, it was one of the best highs of my life!

The opening ceremonies were incredible, too. Hearing all of those famous songs and speeches gave me chills. And when it was time to kick-off, all of us erupted in an enthusiastic applause. There’s nothing quite like sports to bring people together. We were all screaming and celebrating, from the first quarter until the very end.

The whole event was truly incredible. Even though I got home late and I missed my bed time, I felt refreshed and fulfilled. I woke up the next morning with a newfound appreciation of sports, and I couldn’t get the excitement out of my head.

Marquez White, who also played for EMCC and FSU later, is now in the Arizona Cardinals’ camp. Isaiah Wright, who played at East Mississippi Community College and then transferred to West Georgia, is now with the Washington Football Team. And Tayvon Bowers, who played at Lackawanna Community College and transferred to Shepherd before being signed by the Steelers, is now with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
