People started to doubt whether Eli would return to the team or even the league ever again.​ And I must admit, thoughts of his retirement started crossing my mind.​ Little did we know that just two years later, he would announce his retirement.​

And I’m certainly not the only one devastated by his departure.​ Countless numbers of people, from present to past teammates, coaches, owners, reporters, fans, and family, called for Eli’s achievements throughout the league’s history.​

What I truly most admire about Eli is that in spite of all the successes he received, there was no sense of pride or arrogance in him.​ He was a humble, family man that remained the same no matter what the situation.​ Eli had never allowed his successes or failures define him and that, in my opinion, is a true sign of greatness.​

He may have officially removed his jersey, but his impact and legacy will forever remain within the NFL.​ The significance of Eli on the Giants — and the entire league — cannot be overstated.​ To have had the opportunity to keep watching Eli’s commitment to the game all those years was such a blessing.​

The league isn’t the same anymore without Eli.​ While we can’t go back and relive some of his most memorable performances, we can always look back and appreciate what Eli brought to the game of football.​

I’m sure you’ve probably heard that there are quite a few NFL teams that still haven’t played each other.​ it’s both amazing and at the same time crazy to think about.​ I mean really, there are 32 teams in the league and there’s been nearly a hundred years of play, but still some teams have yet to match up.​

It’s hard to imagine that there could possibly be any teams that hadn’t faced off at least once—especially when you think about how fast the league changes each year, and how many teams have come and gone from the league throughout its’ existence.​ it’s mind-boggling to think about!

I did a little research on the topic, and I was pretty surprised to learn that there are still six teams that haven’t met on the gridiron—Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and the Washington Redskins.​ How crazy is that?!

When you look at the distances between the teams, it makes even more sense why they haven’t encountered each other in recent times—they are all relatively far apart from one another.​ I mean, the furthest two teams apart are the Los Angeles Chargers and the Miami Dolphins—which are almost 3000 miles away from one another!

This revelation really made me consider the current landscape of the NFL and how it’s evolved since its inception.​ I can only imagine what it must have been like over a hundred years ago when traveling between cities was much longer and difficult.​ It’s amazing that in all these years since the first ever NFL matchup that there are still some teams that haven’t played.​

It’s also interesting to think about which matchups we’d like to see if these teams ever were to finally match up with one another.​ I’d love to see the Broncos—an iconic team with a highly competitive mindset—square off with the Bengals—who always seem to have extraordinary talent, even when their record isn’t the best.​

Then there’s the Cardinals and Redskins.​ Two teams with loads of history, both with their own set of legends and legacies.​ On paper, it’s almost too close to call!

Finally, the Chargers and Dolphins.​ The two teams have faced off 16 times in the past, but only twice in the past 20 years.​ It’d be great to witness these two teams finally meet on the field again.​

I can only imagine how exhilarating these matchups would be, especially after all this time.​ It’s hard to even think about the anticipation and excitement that would build up leading to the game.​

What I think we can all agree on is that these matchups would be something special.​ Not only for the fans that have been around for a while, but for the new fans that may not even remember a time when the teams hadn’t faced off yet.​

The league is ever-changing, and the playoffs this year could produce some unexpected results that could see the teams finally meet.​ Despite all the adversity that the NFL has faced in the past year, it could also be the perfect time for some of these teams to face off for the first time

It’d be interesting to see the various strategies the teams would develop to get a win, while also battling against the potential element of surprise.​ Watching some of these squads go head-to-head would be intense, to say the least.​ It would be great to see the players compete against each other, and to witness the passion and emotion in the games.​

Wow! The nfl playoffs are finally here! It’s truly been an exciting and unpredictable season.​ This year has showed us that age-old wisdom is true; age ain’t nothing but a number, ’cause some of the coolest plays have been made by some of the youngest players.​

I can hardly contain my excitement as each playoff team looks to make history.​ Some teams, like the Chiefs, are looking to win the Big Game and add another Lombardi to the trophy case while others like the Saints are hoping for a much needed redemption after last year’s heartbreaking loss to the Vikings.​

The race to the Super Bowl isn’t going to be easy, though.​ With the reigning champion Patriots coming off of a 10-6 season and a pretty good Ravens team with the newest QB sensation in Lamar Jackson, things are really looking up for the AFC.​

On the other side is the NFC, which definitely isn’t a slouch either.​ We have the usual suspects like the Saints and the Rams, and some new faces like the Eagles and the Vikings.​ And then you have the Cowboys and the Seahawks, who are both looking to make some serious noise in the playoffs this year.​

Whether you bleed blue and silver or you’re a die-hard fan of the Birds, one thing’s for sure: this year is going to be one of the most exciting playoff races in history.​ With so much on the line, and these teams all vying for a chance to play in the big game, the next few weeks are sure to be filled with a lot of drama and excitement.​

It seems like forever since Manti Te’o burst onto the NFL scene in 2013.​ Back then, he was one of the top linebacker prospects in the country, and it seemed like a sure thing that he’d blaze a trail in the league.​ But now, seven years later, he’s still looking for his first chance to shine.​

It’s funny how quickly time passes.​ It feels like just yesterday that Manti was dominating at Notre Dame and becoming a household name.​ Everyone was expecting big things from him in the NFL, but he never got the chance to prove himself.​

It’s been an up-and-down journey for Manti, and yet he still hasn’t given up on his dream.​ Despite being passed over by teams over the years, he remains optimistic that he could still make it in the league.​ He’s training hard and staying in shape, hoping that some team will eventually take a chance on him.​

I admire Manti’s dedication and perseverance.​ He’s put himself in the best position possible to make it in the league, and I’d love to see him get his chance.​ His character and work ethic make him an ideal candidate for a team looking for a fresh face or a culture change.​ Who knows, maybe he’ll still get that chance and end up becoming a household name.​

Although I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he makes it in the NFL, I’m also realistic enough to know he might not make it.​ Maybe he was just born in the wrong era or didn’t find the right fit.​ Who knows, maybe he won’t be able to make it as a player at all, but still find incredible success as a coach or even an analyst.​

No single person has the same path, and regardless of whether Manti gets his shot in the NFL or not, I’m sure he’s going to find success somewhere.​ He’s an incredible talent and a stand-up individual, so whatever he ends up doing, I’m positive it will be something great.​

It’s crazy to think that it’s been seven years and Manti’s still waiting for his shot.​ But there’s no way of knowing what the future holds for him.​ Regardless of what happens, I’m sure he’ll stick with it and do everything he can to make it happen.​

This is a great time in the NFL, and there’s a lot of turnover in the league.​ So all that’s left for Manti to do is wait and make sure he’ll be ready when his chance finally comes.​ He’s certainly had a roller coaster of a journey, but maybe it’s just a matter of time before he gets his shot.​
