His skill and success take me back to my younger days when I was inspired by him.​ I still get motivated and hyped whenever I watch him reenact one of his legendary plays or set some sort of NFL record.​ He was a true giant in every sense of the word.​

Now, I don’t know if any of his records will ever be broken, but if they do, I will be sure to tune in and witness the new wonder of the NFL.​

First off, I want to say that regardless of how much money these players get, we have to keep in mind that they are sacrificing a lot in order to do what they do.​ Being a professional athlete is both physically and mentally taxing, and being at the top of the list puts even more pressure on their shoulders.​ These people are risking their bodies and sometimes their health and well being for entertainment.​ So in the grand scheme of things, no matter how much you make, making it to the NFL is an accomplishment.​

Also, let’s talk about the economics of the job.​ These players do bring money in, whether it be through tickets and concessions, merchandise, etc.​ So it does make sense that they get paid well because of the economic impact they have.​ Plus, they have to put in a lot of time and effort to be one of the top players in the league.​

So in my opinion, all of that does add up to make the big money that players are making in the NFL today.​ And, ya know, I kind of feel like if I was in their shoes, I’d take whatever money I could get!

That being said, it isn’t just about the money.​ There’s also a sense of responsibility that these players face because they are viewed as role models in a way.​ These are people producing a product and making an impact on the lives of so many fans around the world.​ So with that in mind, being a part of something so big and making an impact comes with a certain responsibility.​

Furthermore, the money is used for much more than just their house and cars.​ The big money that these guys are making goes beyond just their own pockets, but also helps out their families, their friends, charities, and communities.​ So even though the money is high, there’s really more to it than just the paycheck.​

I was really interested in NFL wonderlic scores when I first started following the NFL.​ I remember reading up on which teams had the highest and the lowest scores and how those stats would affect their chances of winning.​ It was pretty fascinating to see that some of the greatest players in the game had the lowest Wonderlic scores of any of the teams.​

One of my favorite players was Antonio Brown, who had one of the lowest scores in the league at a mere 18.​ The media often discussed how his lack of intelligence may have cost him some opportunities on the field, but I don’t think that was the case at all.​

It didn’t take long for me to realize that the Wonderlic scores were often used as an excuse for the football hierarchy to justify their decisions.​ It seems like if a player had a low Wonderlic score, the team was quick to cut them and not give them a chance.​ It never made sense to me why the scores were given so much weight.​

Over time, my opinion changed and I began to understand why having a high Wonderlic score could be important.​ While low Wonderlic scores don’t always mean a player is less qualified to play the game, having a high score can indicate if a player has the mental acuity to be able to process complex instructions from coaches and front office personnel.​

A players aptitude in the Wonderlic test could possibly provide more insight into their mental capacity when it comes to the game of football.​ A player with a high Wonderlic score could outsmart their opponents and have the advantage of making smart decisions on the field.​ To me, it’s all about mental dexterity.​

Today, I still consider the Wonderlic scores to be important but not the only important factor when it comes to predicting success in the NFL.​ I believe that there are other criteria that should be taken into account, including physical fitness, character, and hands-on experience.​

An NFL team needs to be able to evaluate a player on how they can contribute to the team, and that should be the most important factor when choosing a player.​ At the end of the day, it’s not the Wonderlic scores that will tell you if a player is great or not, it’s the way they perform on the field.​

Of course, it’s not just the quarterbacks that are securing big deals in the league.​ Star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins recently re-signed a five-year $82.​5 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals, and Julio Jones became one of the highest paid wide receivers in the NFL with his three-year, $66 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons.​

But when it comes to the biggest contracts in the NFL, nothing compares to the 10-year, $325 million deal that Patrick Mahomes signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in July 2020.​ This contract was that not only made Mahomes the highest paid player in the NFL, but also the highest paid team athlete of all time.​ It’s an impressive deal that pays tribute to Mahomes’ outstanding talent and his influence on the team.​

It’s clear that some of the biggest and brightest stars in the NFL are getting paid top dollar, and Mahomes’ deal is a testament to that.​ But the question remains, who will be the next to land such a massive contract? Only time will tell!

I’m sure excited for the 2021 NFL Playoffs!! It’s the best time of year for football fans – all 16 teams have been decided, and we’re about to find out who will make it to the Super Bowl.​ It’s an exciting time for sure!

The AFC playoffs feature some really intriguing matchups.​ We’ve got the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Cleveland Browns, the Buffalo Bills playing the Baltimore Ravens, the Tennessee Titans clashing against the Indianapolis Colts, and the Pittsburgh Steelers looking to upset the New England Patriots.​ Yeah, these are all must-see games!

Then in the NFC, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are all the rage.​ They’ve got one of the NFL’s most talented quarterback-receiver duos in Tom Brady and Mike Evans, and a huge home-field advantage in Florida.​ But don’t forget about the Green Bay Packers.​ They’re always in the hunt for the Super Bowl, and they’ve got Aaron Rodgers running the show.​

The Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and New Orleans Saints all have great quarterbacks too, and we can’t forget about the Arizona Cardinals with Kyler Murray.​ These are all huge games and I really can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.​ Sure hoping Brady can take the Buccaneers all the way.​

Speaking of quarterbacks, you have to feel for deshaun watson.​ The Texans are out of the playoffs this year, but he’s still one of the best QBs in the NFL.​ Who knows what could happen if he had some more talent around him.​ When you look at some of the playoff teams, it just makes you realize how important it is to surround your QB with a great cast of characters.​

If I had to make a Super Bowl prediction right now, I’m really torn between Kansas City and Tampa.​ On one hand, the Chiefs are the defending champions and they boast one of the most complete rosters in the league.​ On the other, the Bucs just have this extra “x-factor” about them that could take them to the top.​

It’s funny, but when it comes to picking a winner, I always end up with the same feeling I have every year – I’m just going to have to wait and see how it all plays out.​ In the playoffs, anything can happen.​ As they say in the NFL, “That’s why they play the games!”

For the teams struggling to make the playoffs this year, the off-season should be action packed.​ They have to figure out what changes need to be made to get them back into the mix for next season.​ It’s all about building the right foundation and setting yourself up for success.​

We’ll also see some coaches heading to different teams, and maybe even some quarterbacks making moves as well.​ It all gets so crazy at this time of year, I can’t help but be captivated by it all.​ To me, it’s the ultimate drama in sports.​

Wow, talking about Verizon Fios and NFL Redzone.​ Man, that’s one topic I am excited to discuss.​ It’s a hard one to summarize in a blog post, but I will do my best.​

First things first, let me assure you that yes, Verizon Fios does in fact offer NFL Redzone.​ It is included in the sports packages offered with Fios.​ This means that you can stream live, out-of-market games as well as select coverage of the biggest plays of the week with NFL Redzone and not miss a single minute of the action.​

The truth is, before I subscribed to Fios, I was completely unaware of NFL Redzone and what it was all about.​ I was missing out big time.​ After learning about it, I knew right away that I had to get in on the action.​ The in-depth coverage that it offers was certainly appealing and my friends certainly had me sold with all their talk about fantasy teams, etc.​ All I had to say was, “sign me up!”.​
