It’s that time of the year again where the sports world is abuzz with chatter of who’s the best QB in the NFL for 2022. There’s nothing more exciting than to witness first-hand the firepower, the big plays, and the athleticism of the QBs competing to be the best. I’m sure we can all agree that after watching the amazing performances on the field this year, 2022 looks to be one of the best years for the NFL for QBs.
This year, there are several top contenders vying for the coveted title of best QB. Two of the leading contenders are Dak Prescott from the Cowboys, and Russell Wilson from the Seahawks. Both of these QBs have put together impressive careers, with Dak throwing for over 4,900 yards in 2020 and leading the Cowboys to the playoffs, and Russell throwing for over 4400 yards and 40 touchdowns. And, of course, there’s the perennial favorite Aaron Rodgers from the Packers. He’s a 4-time MVP and a Super Bowl winner, so when it comes to experience, he certainly sticks out.
The new rising star in the NFL is Kyler Murray from the Cardinals. He’s coming off an impressive 2020 season, showing off his dual-threat abilities with 44 touchdowns, 4,400 yards passing, and 844 yards rushing. He has transformed the Cardinals into one of the top teams in the NFC. With his combination of size and athleticism, Kyler has the potential to reach the same level of greatness as the top QBs in the league.
Being the unbiased fan that I am, I would have to say that all of the QBs mentioned can take home the title of best QB in 2022. They’ve all put together impressive seasons and have strong records of success. It’s going to be an exciting year for sure!
When it comes to top QBs in the NFL in 2022, it’s hard not to talk about Patrick Mahomes from the Chiefs. He’s already won a Super Bowl, he’s a 3-time Pro Bowler, and he was just named MVP in 2020. He’s also only 25 years old, so he’ll likely be wreaking havoc on the NFL for years to come. He can do things on the football field that no one else can, and it’s absolutely mesmerizing to watch.
Talking about impressive QBs, another name that comes to my mind is Deshaun Watson from the Texans. He’s often overlooked when it comes to this topic, but he clearly deserves recognition. He’s coming off a 2020 season where he had over 4,800 yards and 33 touchdowns, just from throwing alone. He also has 6 career rushing touchdowns and over 500 yards rushing in his pro career. Clearly, Deshaun is a dual-threat and is a legitimate QB among NFL’s elite.
Dak Prescott, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Kyler Murray, Patrick Mahomes, and Deshaun Watson are all strong contenders for the title of best QB in the NFL in 2022. They can all make a case for themselves, but only one man can take home the title. It’s sure to be a close race and an entertaining one at that.
While putting together the ultimate list of NFL’s top QBs in 2022, we also have to give a nod to Lamar Jackson from the Ravens. He may not be the top name on the list but he certainly deserves a spot for all that he’s accomplished. He’s won back-to-back MVP awards and led his team to the AFC Championship game for the past two seasons. He’s the undisputed leader of the Ravens’ offense, so it’s no surprise that he’s in contention for the title of best QB.
Then there is Tom Brady from the Buccaneers. He’s the reigning Super Bowl MVP and a 6-time Super Bowl champion. Even at 43 years old he’s proving that he’s still capable of putting up huge numbers. He’s thrown for over 4,500 yards and 40 touchdowns this season, and he’s a strong candidate for the title of best QB for 2022.
The last name that I want to mention in this conversation is Josh Allen from the Bills. He’s coming off an incredible 2020 season with over 4,500 yards and 37 touchdowns, and he’s poised to be one of the top QBs in the league in 2022. He’s big and strong, and he can elude defenses with his arm. He has a good chance to make it to the top of the list.
So, with all that being said, who do you think will be the best QB in the NFL in 2022? I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen when the season starts. I have a feeling that next year is going to be one of the most exciting years yet for QBs and for the NFL.
