nfl players from ohio state

It’s a great opportunity to tell you about NFL players from Ohio State who have brought so much excitement and energy to the football field. Through the years, so many have made a lasting impression on the game. I remember when A.J. Hawk, an All-American linebacker from 2006 was drafted fifth overall in the 2006 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. He was an incredible player and a great leader on and off the field.

When I think of great Ohio State players, my mind immediately goes to the quarterback position. It’s no surprise, considering the number of outstanding quarterbacks, including Troy Smith, that have come through the program. Troy Smith was a Heisman Trophy winner in 2005 and a two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. It seems like all those years ago, but it feels like only yesterday that I watched Troy Smith make play after play.

Then, of course, there was Ted Ginn Jr., who was an incredible wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner from 2004-2006. He was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year in 2006 and first-team All-America in 2005. I remember watching his catches and how he made those plays look so smooth.

And of course, we have to mention Kurt Coleman. He was a terrific free safety for the Buckeyes from 2007-2009, earning All-American honors in 2009. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL draft and became an instant force for them. I’m always a proud Buckeye when I see how successful Kurt has been in the NFL and how he’s helped the Eagles become a contender in the NFC.

All of the players I’ve mentioned here have made great contributions to their teams in the NFL, and it’s exciting for me to see them using the skills and knowledge they learned at Ohio State to be successful. It’s also great to see them giving back and being great role models for the next generations of Buckeyes.

And then, there’s the great Joey Bosa, who was selected third overall by the San Diego Chargers in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was a two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 & 2015 and he even won the Lombardi Award in 2014. Joey was an unstoppable force with the Buckeyes, and it’s been awesome to see him being just as unstoppable in the NFL.

Finally, I can’t talk enough about Ezekiel Elliott, a two-time All-American running back in 2013 and 2014, the Doak Walker Award winner in 2014, and one of Ohio State’s most explosive players in recent memory. He was selected fourth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2016 NFL Draft, and has been a great addition to their team. He has an incredible burst of speed and power, and his ability to make tacklers miss is something to behold.

These are just a few of the amazing NFL players from Ohio State. There are so many more, and each one has made a huge impact on the game. From the generational talent of Troy Smith, to the consistent excellence of A.J. Hawk and the always entertaining Ted Ginn Jr., to the state-of-the-art ability of Joey Bosa and Ezekiel Elliott, it’s great to celebrate the successes of all the Indianapolis Colts.

These Buckeye players have brought us a lot of memories, and we know they will continue to bring us more in the future. They all have the talent to make plays, and the heart to bring their teams to victory. It’s amazing to be able to watch so many of my fellow Buckeyes in the NFL. It’s a great opportunity to cheer for familiar faces, as they make Ohio State proud.

how much is attendance down in nfl because of protests

It’s pretty no secret that the NFL has been dealing with a huge attendance issue since the protests started. I’m sure you’ve heard about it, right? Well, I wanted to dive in and figure out how much attendance has actually been dropping in the NFL since the protests began.

Let’s start off with the numbers. According to an in-depth report by the Associated Press, attendance for regular-season home games for the 2018 season was down about 5.3 percent, from the year prior. That’s huge! Just think: That’s over a million fewer people attending NFL games because of this whole protesting thing.

It’s really sad to see how much this issue has affected NFL attendance. I know I’ve heard the story of people deciding to skip attending games due to the protests, and I’m sure other people have, too. It’s really sad that it’s come down to this. We should be united as football fans, not divided.

And it’s not just NFL teams that are being affected. The college-level football programs are becoming just as big of an issue. NCAA football attendance has dropped by nearly 8.2 percent over the past 10 years. That’s pretty significant, if you ask me.

Not only that, but TV ratings are also taking a hit. NBC’s ratings for the first seven games of the 2018 season were down nearly 11 percent from the year before. That’s a big drop, for sure.

It’s really a bummer to see the attendance dropping in the NFL and college football because of the protesting issue. I guess more and more people just don’t want to support the league in any way. As football fans, it’s our job to do our best to support the game, no matter what.

Last year, I noticed it was much harder to really get into the games, too. Fewer people at the stadium means there’s less energy in the air and less enthusiasm. It makes for a less-than-thrilling atmosphere.

It’s just such a shame that something like this is getting in the way of us all enjoying the game. I hope the protest issue can be resolved soon so that the NFL and college football shrines can be filled with cheering and chanting fans once again.

On a more positive note, there have been some creative solutions proposed in an effort to get more fans to attend games. For example, some teams have started offering discounted ticket programs, like “Kids Go Free” and family-friendly ticket plans. And other NFL teams have been giving away free tickets in an effort to get more people in the stands.

Another thing that teams have tried is introducing new fan engagement programs. These programs can be designed to get fans more engaged with the team and make attending games more interactive.

It’s interesting to see what teams are attempting to do to revitalize their fan bases. And I’m hoping that these initiatives will work and that more people will decide to attend the games. I miss the enthusiasm and feeling of being in a packed-out stadium – it’s really an incredible experience.

Furthermore, I know there has been a lot of talk about the protests hurting the game’s popularity, especially with kids. I get that parents don’t want to expose their kids to anything that could be considered controversial. But I think it’s important for kids to understand what is going on in the league and to use game-time as an opportunity to discuss it openly.

A lot of NFL teams have made an effort to reach out and explain why these protests are happening and try to make sure that the underlying message behind the protests isn’t lost. Players have been getting involved, too – holding open forums on the issue to discuss what their team stands for.

I don’t expect protest-related issues to go away anytime soon, but I do think it’s important for everyone to know exactly why they’re happening and to stand behind the players and teams who are doing their best to get their message across.

Additionally, fans should also be willing to make some sacrifices, like attending games, to help the league out. Going to games should not be an afterthought, it should be a priority and both players and fans should come together and support the league.

At the end of the day, football is just a game and it’s important that we don’t forget that. Going to the games and getting behind your team should lift your spirits and bring you and your family closer together. We should use the sport to put aside our differences and enjoy something together, as one, no matter what.

In conclusion, the entire NFL community is feeling the effects of the protest issue. More and more people are choosing not to attend games, viewership is down, and teams are having difficulty filling their stadiums. This isn’t a matter that should be taken lightly, but the expectation is that this issue will be handled in the future so that we can all go back to enjoying what we love most – cheering on our favorite teams.

how much did nfl pay rihanna for super bowl

At the moment, everyone is abuzz about the amount NFL paid to Rihanna for the Super Bowl. It’s the talk-of-the-town, with many people speculating, guessing, and trying to figure out what went down. To be honest, it’s kind of a big deal because this isn’t the first time NFL has gone for big-name talent to kick off the world’s biggest sports event. As a matter of fact, NFL already made a payment of millions of dollars to Bruno Mars and Coldplay in 2015 and 2016.

But boy, oh boy! This time it was different. They decided to go all out and approached Rihanna to perform. Now that was something, alright! The rumors about a huge check to Rihanna had the gossips abuzz about the figure that was to be presented to her. According to the reliable sources, it appears that NFL paid one-hundred fifty million dollars to Rihanna for the Super Bowl in 2019. Yup, you read it right, one-hundred-fifty million dollars!!

I don’t know about you, but I was certainly left stunned after hearing about the whopping figure. This amount is surely hard to grasp, but there’s no arguing that Rihanna was worth the money. When it comes to show stopping performances, nailing every note perfectly and knowing how to work the stage, she’s certainly the one who comes to mind. Whether you’re talking about songs like Diamonds or Umbrella, she truly is one of a kind.

To top it off, this big investment also did what it was intended to. It delivered the anticipated reaction, no matter how high the expectations. By the end of the show, the audience was on their feet and cheering. I mean they were literally screaming! It was surreal. Even more, it sent the ratings skyhigh. Thus, it can be easily concluded that it was worth it for the NFL to pay that much to Rihanna.

That being said, it still begs the question as how NFL could afford such an amount? Well, let’s just say that it’s no magic trick; it’s just promise of future revenues. The NFL is sure to earn good money within a span of years from what was paid to Rihanna for the Super Bowl. For the network, this was looked upon as an investment that will eventually pay off; and trust me, it almost always does.

The decision to pay Rihanna one-hundred-fifty million dollars was widely accepted and praised. It showed that the NFL was committed to bringing the world a spectacle to remember. She definitely gave that to us, even if it was one of the highest amounts ever paid to an artist for a commercial gig. All in all, I dare say it was a win-win situation.

I guess this just goes to show that if you want to wow the people, you have to have the right talent. It’s no secret that big names come with a stiffer price, but you don’t just get glory and glory alone. You also get brilliance and passion, that too with a big bang. All in all, it was worth it for NFL to pay Rihanna such a big amount, because now people are still talking about the Super Bowl and will keep talking about it for a long time to come.

On the other side of the fence, there are some who are, well, not exactly jumping with joy. I mean, it just so happened that this time NFL went with an artist who was signed by a major label. As a result, a big chunk of the earned revenues will also go to unattributed royalties to the company due to copyright restrictions. Nonetheless, that’s just how it goes with the music industry now, and personally I believe it was worth it.

I mean, NFL paid Rihanna one-hundred-fifty million dollars for one of the most recognised and most-watched events in the world. Sure, It may sound like a lot at first but taken into consideration all that NFL received in return, it was completely worth it! Yes, you heard it right. It was worth it even with the copyright restrictions tacked in.

Don’t take my word for it, though. Listen to what some of the viewers have to say – they seem to unanimously agree that it was worth it for NFL to pay Rihanna. After all, it was arguably one of the best performances in the Super Bowl’s history. You could literally feel the fervor and enthusiasm in the air, it was that epic!

From the audience’s enthusiasm to the viewership ratings, I think it’s safe to say that NFL got more than what it paid for. In light of that, I’d say that it was a good call on their part to give Rihanna a chance to amaze us with her talent and grace and charm the viewers with her performance. Everyone was spellbound, myself included!

nfl stanfings

Football season is in full swing and the standings are starting to make for some very exciting matchups. Every Sunday I’m glued to my TV watching each team duke it out and trying to guess who will win. As the weeks go on, I’m starting to get a better idea of who will ultimately dominate the field. The NFL standings show who’s who and who’s gonna make the playoffs in no time.

One team that has definitely caught my eye when it comes to the standings is the New England Patriots. Not only do they have a great winning record, but they’ve also been very impressive, especially when it comes to their working pass game and stingy defense. I’m not surprised that they’re currently in the top spot.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are another team that I’m keeping an eye on. They’re currently in second place and have some very impressive numbers when it comes to points scored, fewest points allowed, and total yards per game. They’ve certainly proved that they’re no pushover this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs are also doing very well. They currently hold the number three spot and are looking like a very dangerous team. With an impressive combination of offense and defense, it’s no wonder why they stand so high up in the standings.

The Seattle Seahawks haven’t had the best of luck this season in terms of wins. However, the team is still doing an excellent job of making up for lost points. Despite what their record might say, they have the potential to make a huge comeback.

Scrolling through the standings, one can’t help but notice the Tennessee Titans. Despite being in the fifth slot, the team has remained surprisingly consistent. This consistency has won them a good share of games and it looks like they’re not going to slow down anytime soon.

The NFL standings are always so exciting to watch as the season progresses. All of this talk about the top teams can make my head spin, but I’m still cheering them all on. No matter who wins the playoffs, I’m sure that the league is in for an exciting year!

who plays nfl football thanksgiving day

It’s Thanksgiving Day, and that means NFL football! I’m beyond excited for this year’s slate of football games, and I plan to spend the entire day on front of the TV. All the different rivalries, football traditions and watching some of the best teams in the NFL compete is really one of the most exciting days of the season.

The day will start with the early game between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears. This matchup is always entertaining with two high-powered offenses playing against two formidable defenses. With this being a home game for the Lions, I’m expecting a tough contest that could go either way.

The second game of the day will be the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Football Team. The Cowboys have been struggling as of late, but still have some talented players on both sides of the ball. The Football Team, on the other hand, has been playing good football all season and I think they have a great chance of winning this game.

Next up is the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is an important game for both teams as they are in the playoff hunt and this result could set the tone for the rest of their respective seasons. As usual, this game should be a defensive battle with both teams looking to shut down the other side and get the win.

Finally, the night cap of the day will be between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers are coming off a big win last week and look to continue their winning streak. The Packers also seem to be hitting their stride and this could be an intriguing game with two high-powered offenses.

Overall, I cannot wait for these games to start and I’m sure we’ll be getting a full dose of football on this Thanksgiving Day! There’s something special about getting together with friends and family to watch the games and cheer on our favorite teams. Football and Thanksgiving always make for a great holiday, and I’m looking forward to another great day of watching the NFL.

The fun continues on Thanksgiving weekend with a triple-header of football. On Sunday, we’ll get to see the Falcons and Saints clash in Atlanta, while the Titans and Colts play in Nashville. The Bills and Chargers will also face off on Monday Night Football in Los Angeles.

It’s always exciting to get multiple days of football back-to-back, with the potential for some surprising outcomes. Thanksgiving weekend is always full of unpredictable football, and this year should not be any different.

The Monday night match-up between the Bills and the Chargers is particularly interesting, as the Chargers have had a strong season and are hoping to make a postseason run. Meanwhile, the Bills are in a tight battle for a playoff spot with the Patriots, and this could be a huge game for both teams.

For those who don’t like football, there are still other options. This Thanksgiving weekend, some teams are playing specialties like hockey, soccer, baseball or basketball, so everyone can find something to watch.

Finally, this Thanksgiving Day is even more special as the NFL is planning to have a special tribute to veterans. As the league recognises the contributions of those who serve in the military, they’ll be hosting special moments of remembrance and honour throughout the day.

All in all, I’m looking forward to a fantastic Thanksgiving Day where football and the celebration of our country’s veterans will be honoured. We all have much to be thankful for and it’s great that we have a day dedicated to celebrating the best of what we have.

best division in nfl

So, you know that I’m a pretty avid football fan right? Being from the beautiful state of Ohio, one of my teams is the Cleveland Browns. As you may know, they are currently part of the NFL’s AFC North division, which is made up of the Browns, the Baltimore Ravens, the Steelers, and the Bengals. Of all the divisions in the NFL, the AFC North is the best in my opinion.

First of all, there’s a great rivalry between all the teams. Every time the Browns play the Steelers we get ready for a hard-fought battle. Steelers-Bengals is another rivalry that has been brewing for decades now. Ravens vs anyone is always an exciting game to watch. No matter who wins in these matchups, it’s sure to be an entertaining affair full of chaos and heart-stopping plays.

Another thing I love about the AFC North is the parity of the teams. All four teams have a winning tradition and have had successful seasons. The Bengals have been to the playoffs six times in the last decade, with two of the berths coming from the last two seasons. The Ravens have made playoff appearances eight times over that same span and won two Super Bowls. The Steelers and Browns, while not having quite as much success as the other teams, have still been competitive and fun to watch.

The coaches in the AFC North are some of the best in the league as well. The Ravens are coached by John Harbaugh who has led them to success ever since he took over in 2008. The Bengals are coached by Marvin Lewis who is one of the longest-tenured coaches in the league. The Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin has been with the team since 2007 and has helped to lead them to the playoffs several times. And the Browns? Well, they’re currently coached by Hue Jackson, who is trying to rebuild the team and revive the tradition.

Speaking of history, the AFC North has one of the most storied histories of any division in the NFL. The Bengals have been around since 1968 and have had cool players like Boomer Esiason and Chad Ochocinco. The Steelers are one of the most storied franchises in the league, with legends like Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, and Lynn Swann. The Ravens were once the Browns and have won numerous championships since their inception in 1996. And the Browns, they have had some of the NFL’s greatest players with Jim Brown, Otto Graham, and Jim Brown. All of this combined makes the AFC North one of the most revered divisions in the NFL.

The AFC North is not only a great division from a competitive standpoint but from a cultural one as well. The Steelers and Browns have a fierce rivalry but it’s a rivalry fueled by mutual respect and admiration. The same goes for the Ravens and Bengals. There is a deep sense of regional pride in the AFC North and it makes every game special.

So as you can see, there are many things that make the AFC North an entertaining division in the NFL and my favorite in the league. The rivalries are intense, the teams are competitive, the coaches are top-notch, and the history is vast. Yes, the AFC North is the best division in the NFL.

good nfl players

I’m sure everyone has a favorite NFL player. For me, I’m always amazed by the talent and skill of a few in particular. So let me tell you, my friend, about three of the best NFL players I’ve seen in action.

Tom Brady, quarterback of the New England Patriots, is a surefire favorite. His incredible arm strength and unbeatable accuracy sets him apart from other players. Bill Belichick, head coach of the Patriots, summed it up perfectly when he said, “Tom makes plays, he’s a leader, and he executes at the highest level.” No doubt about it—Tom Brady is the real deal.

Other greats I’ve seen on the gridiron are the players of the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s no wonder they’re widely considered the best defense in the league. Guys like Cameron Heyward and Minkah Fitzpatrick give opposing offenses fits. Their talent and smart decision making have made them essential to the Steeler’s success.

And lastly, there’s Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. Aaron’s an extraordinary athlete and one of the most prolific quarterbacks in NFL history. He can make all the throws, from quick darts to pinpoint post routes. He’s also a master of the scramble drill and regularly stumps defenses with his evasive footwork.

There you have it—three of the best players in the NFL. But the league is full of talented individuals, so the list doesn’t end with these three. DaVante Adams, Derrick Henry, Tyrann Mathieu, JJ Watt… the list goes on.

What stands out is the hard work of these athletes. Each one puts in countless hours of practice, studying the playbook and honing their craft. People tend to overlook the hard work and mentally tough preparation behind the games. It’s an amazing thing to watch these incredible players in action.

The resilient spirit of these athletes is an inspiration. From that moment when a player steps out onto the field, until the final whistle, they give every play their utmost dedication and effort. And it’s clear that even with a packed house and millions watching on TV, they’re all still playing for that same passion they had when they first started playing.

When the game’s on the line, these guys are ready to pull out all the stops. Whether it’s the big hit to stop their opponents or a daring run from the pocket, they’ve got the playmaking ability to turn a game on its head. It’s inspiring to see this kind of heart and perseverance no matter how tough the game is.

Teams without good NFL players end up regretting it in the end. A great athlete can bring a team together and lead them to greatness. It’s easy to point to championship caliber teams like the ’95 Cowboys or the ’02 Buccaneers as prime examples of this.

A good NFL player isn’t just their stats or their wins. It’s the motivation and drive they bring out in all the players around them. The Patriots saw that in Tom Brady and the Steelers saw it in Heyward and Fitzpatrick. Whenever the Packers play, teams can see the leadership of Aaron Rodgers.

The ability to get the most out of your teammates, the spirit and motivation to fight til the final whistle and the strong desire to hoist the Lombardi Trophy—these are qualities shared by all great NFL players. It’s why they’re the best in the league and why so many fans love to watch them. And for me, they’ll always be inspirational figures in sports.
