the nfl summer internship program

I’m super excited to tell you all about my summer internship experience at the National Football League (NFL). It was an absolute blast! I had the opportunity to shadow some incredible professionals while also learning how the biggest professional football league in the world operates. I learned so much about the league’s day-to-day operations, from how the rules of the game are enforced to how a television broadcast is produced.

The NFL Summer Internship Program is one of the most comprehensive and prestigious sports-related internships in the country, and I was thrilled to get my foot in the door. Every intern had a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the NFL. We had the chance to witness first-hand the decisions that drive the league. We got to work with players, coaches, scouts, and executives. It was an amazing experience!

One of the highlights of the internship was the access we had to NFL coaches. Being able to talk to these coaches, to hear their stories and insight, was invaluable. They offered us insight on the game that can only be seen from a coach’s perspective. I found their advice was invaluable and it gave me an edge when it came to writing evaluations and scouting reports.

The NFL Summer Internship Program also included hands-on opportunities with other departments. We were given the opportunity to work on the creative side of the league, such as creating graphics for broadcast packages and websites. It was incredibly satisfying to be able to produce work in a professional setting and to see it come alive on the screen.

I also had the chance to meet and network with some incredible professionals. We were encouraged to take advantage of the NFL Network at any time and make connections with anyone and everyone. It was amazing to have access to these professionals and get to pick their brains. I feel like these connections will be invaluable as I continue my career.

One moment that will always stand out to me from my internship experience was my first time on the field. I was able to stand on the sidelines and watch football players practice, seeing them work out and go through drills. It was a remarkable experience and it made me appreciate the sport I love even more.

Another incredible part of the internship was the team building activities. We were put into groups and tasked with completing specific tasks. It was amazing to witness how well all the interns worked together to problem solve. It was also a great way to build relationships with people from all across the country.

The NFL Summer Internship Program was definitely an experience I will never forget. Every day was filled with unique opportunities and new experiences. I feel so fortunate to have been given the chance to take part in the program, and I am grateful for everything I have learned.

how many nfl players kneel for the national anthem

I remember when I heard the news that some football players were taking a knee to protest during the national anthem. I could not believe it! I mean, what in the world could be so bad that these guys would feel the need to stand up right then and there? It seemed like a huge statement they were making, and I was curious why so many were taking part in it.

So I decided to do some research and try to understand why. It turns out that the answer is complicated and there’s not one easy answer. In general, the collective action has been a act of protest in support of the Black Lives Matter movement – and to bring attention to police brutality and other forms of social injustices. This was especially poignant for many as the national anthem has been a symbol of patriotism and taking a knee has been seen as a sign of disrespect by many.

Now I have to admit that when I first heard about all of this, my initial reaction was intense. I was sure these athletes were being disrespectful and unpatriotic. I kept thinking that if the country is so bad, why not just leave it? But then I talked to some people who had more knowledge about the issue, and I realized that this was a little too simplistic. Leave it or not, the issue of social justice had to be addressed.

It was then that I started to really think about why so many NFL players were taking a knee during the national anthem, and what it meant for the larger discussion. After gathering all of this information, the conclusions were clear. By taking a knee during the national anthem, several NFL players were protesting the systematic oppression of people of color. This could be seen as sending a powerful message about the state of things in this country and the inequalities that still exist.

At this point I was starting to understand that while some may have seen the movement as disrespectful, the players that were taking a knee during the national anthem were actually sending a powerful message that they believed was necessary. So I started to look into the specifics of the issue.

I found that an estimated 20-30 NFL players took a knee during the 2020 season in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. According to Global Citizen, these players used their platform to draw attention to systemic oppression and racist police brutality. The magnitude of the gesture was felt by many, and it created a lot of conversation about where the US was headed and how we could move forward in a more positive direction.

The goal of the movement was to bring attention to the issue of police brutality, and to show support for those who have been impacted by this issue. This was especially important for many who felt that their voices needed to be heard. So, as players continued to kneel during the national anthem, it became clear that this action was an important part of the Black Lives Matter uprising.

But it was not just NFL players who were taking a knee. Players from other leagues like the NBA and WNBA also joined in the protests. The protests were serious, yet peaceful, resulting in the support of many others who may not have been NFL players. So while 20-30 players took a knee on the field, thousands are now taking a knee all across the US.

What has become increasingly clear is that taking a knee during the national anthem is so much more than just a gesture. It is a powerful statement that, even after all these years, systemic oppression and racism in this country needs to be addressed and overcome. While some may disagree with the gesture, it is undeniable that change is happening, and this moment in time will not soon be forgotten.

how many picks are in the 2023 nfl draft

Wow, the 2023 NFL draft is coming up soon! I can hardly believe how quickly time has flown by. It feels like just yesterday I was watching the 2021 NFL draft. So, how many picks are in the 2023 NFL draft? Well, that all depends on how many teams are eligible for the draft and how many players each team decides to select.

The 2023 NFL draft will consist of at least 255 picks: one in each round, seven in each of the six rounds, plus an extra seven compensatory picks in the seventh round. That’s a lot of players potentially changing hands!

The way it works is an NFL team can choose to either select a rookie with one of their first-round picks, trade those picks to another team for more picks down the line, or even select more than one player in certain rounds. Ultimately, whether your team has a successful draft or not will depend on the players that they are able to acquire.

Since the 2023 NFL draft is still a few years away, these numbers could still change. We could see more teams added or subtracted from the equation, or have more picks added due to a trade. What we do know is that a team should still have plenty of options at their disposal in order to find the best possible players to help strengthen their roster.

That said, teams should be especially savvy when it comes to making their selections in the 2023 NFL draft. There’s a lot more to consider now versus just the overall talent level. Teams have to factor in injuries, character issues, potential conflict of interest, and even off-field lifestyle decisions. It’s no longer just about pure talent; teams have to be more strategic when selecting their next rookies.

To that end, teams may be willing to sacrifice one or two early-round picks in order to get top talent in the later rounds. Most teams would much rather have two sleeper picks with later-round selections than one top-tier talent late in the draft. This strategy can be beneficial both in the short- and long-term.

As for what the teams will actually do with their picks, we’ll have to wait and see. For now, it looks like the 2023 NFL draft is off to a great start with plenty of picks to choose from! Regardless of the rounds, I’m sure the teams will be sure to make the best selections they can to get ready for the new season.

nfl power rankings 2022

I’m sure many of you have been taking a look at the NFL power rankings for 2022 already. As expected, the top teams from the previous season are still very much in contention. There is no surprise to see the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs still atop the rankings. They spent the offseason bolstering their already impressive offense, with the additions of Larry Fitzgerald and Sammy Watkins, making them the most dangerous team in the league.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on the other hand, have made some huge moves this offseason, adding proven veterans like Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Leonard Fournette and Antonio Brown. The Bucs definitely look like a team that could be on the rise this season, and it would be a surprise if they weren’t in contention for the division title.

My other sleeper team in the 2022 NFL power rankings is the Buffalo Bills. Led by the dynamic duo of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, the Bills have had a great offseason, adding core pieces in the draft while getting several of their own free agents back. The Bills are looking primed for a deep playoff run and could make a real surprise this season.

Next, let’s not forget about the Baltimore Ravens. Despite a down season in 2021, the Ravens still possess one of the most potent offenses in the league, led by their explosive playmakers Lamar Jackson and Mark Ingram. With a new offensive coordinator and a star-studded defense, the Ravens are hoping to get back to the top of the power rankings this season.

Finally, if I had to pick my dark horse in the 2022 NFL power rankings, it would have to be the Cleveland Browns. They’re loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, and with offensive-minded Kevin Stefanski calling the shots, they could be a real surprise this season. Do you think the Browns could make a run at the division title this season?

Over the past few seasons, the NFL has seen some big changes in the power rankings. Teams like Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, and Baltimore have become perennial contenders, while the Cleveland Browns have emerged as an emerging dark horse. But what teams could surprise this season?

Let’s start with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2021, they struggled to post an 8-8 record, but they still possess a talented roster that could easily compete for the division title in 2022. Led by the veteran presence of Big Ben Roethlisberger and dynamic receiving duo of Juju Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool, the Steelers could make some noise this coming season.

Another interesting team is the Houston Texans. Since trading away Deandre Hopkins, the Texans have added standouts like Brandin Cooks, Randall Cobb, and T.J. Watt in the offseason. The Texans have had a very quiet offseason, but are they really capable of getting back to the playoffs?

The Indianapolis Colts also could be a team to watch as we enter the season. With a healthy Andrew Luck and the addition of Carson Wentz, Philip Rivers, and DeForest Buckner, the Colts could be an exciting team to watch in 2022. How do you think this team will fare in the power rankings this upcoming season?

In addition to the teams I’ve already mentioned, I think it’d be a crime to overlook the New Orleans Saints. They still have an impressive roster, led by Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas, and if they can find their groove, they could make a legitimate run at the division title in 2022.

One thing is for sure, the NFC South is going to be one of the most competitive divisions in the league. I’m sure there will be some unexpected teams that could make some noise this upcoming season, but as of now it looks like it should be an exciting race. With all these teams in the running, who do you think will emerge as the powerhouses of 2022?

did terry cruise play in the nfl

I remember watching movies with my family growing up, and one of my favorites was ‘Top Gun’ with Tom Cruise. It wasn’t until I was older that I learned Tom Cruise didn’t play for the NFL, but did Terry Cruise ever play in the NFL? I got curious and had to look into it.

Upon some research, I found out that no, Terry Cruise did not play in the NFL. Terry Cruise was born in 1962, which is the same year the Miami Dolphins were established, and the Dolphins are the only NFL team based in Florida. So, it would be impossible for him to have played in the NFL since he would have been too young anyways.

From what I gather, Terry Cruise was never a professional athlete; he preferred playing baseball. In 1984, he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the minor league baseball draft and his career progressed over the years. But other than that, he never played for any professional sports team.

That’s not to say he didn’t have a passion for football. He could often be found watching Monday Night Football, or rooting for his favorite teams. His connection to football, while not professional, seemed as strong as anyone’s.

What struck me the most from my research was that Terry Cruise was an avid supporter of the NFL no matter what. Even when he wasn’t playing, he had the same enthusiasm and dedication to the sport as a professional player or avid fan. This resonated with me.

You know, it’s not necessarily about your level of experience or professional prestige. It’s about the passion for something that’s important to you and paying attention to the details. Terry Cruise may not have played in the NFL but his enthusiasm for the game was just as strong as if he had donned an NFL jersey.

Moreover, looking closer into his past, I found that Terry Cruise was a keen supporter of both the NFL and the marketing that went along with it. He’d often enter competitions held by the NFL to win merchandise and tickets to game days. Let’s just say that he wasn’t a fair weather fan that’d seem to abandon the sport when the chips were down.

While I’m sure Terry would have loved to play for the NFL, it’s reassuring to know that professional experience doesn’t dictate your enthusiasm or enjoyment for a sport. Yes, to my surprise, Terry Cruise didn’t play in the NFL but it was interesting learning more about him and his relationship to football.

who owns nfl network

It’s a question that keeps popping up on the internet: Who owns the NFL Network? Recently, I asked the same question myself, because I’m a huge Patriots fan. Well, I found out that the NFL Network is owned by the National Football League. Of course, that much makes total sense, but why did some people think there was another entity in charge?

The thing is, a ton of networks in the United States are owned by Mega Media companies like Disney-ABC, Viacom and Comcast. So, it’s easy to understand why some people thought that the NFL Network must be the same way. But it turns out, the NFL has a unique setup in that they’re not associated with any of these single company entities.

The league actually owns it wholly and completely and has complete control over it’s branding and the content that it produces. The NFL Network launched in 2003 and really took off in 2006, after the league negotiated access for a much bigger roster of cable and satellite providers and began offering who live games that would go up against the broadcast networks that carried regular season games.

The NFL Network has had an interesting impact on viewer habits. It brings dedicated fans even closer to the game with on-demand, in-depth game analysis, retro games, and Football Night in America live show broadcast from New York City. Plus, it’s helped some young talents-like Rich Eisen, Melissa Stark, and Michael Irvin-gain bigger name recognition.

But, in addition to the content and the personalities, the social media aspect is second to none. From player takeovers on the Network’s Twitter account to providing behind-the-scenes content on Instagram, things are as up-close-and-personal as ever.

The advantage that NFL Network now has over even the biggest broadcasters like Fox or NBC is that it can literally reach every fan in the US depending on your satellite package. And since the NFL Network is a major part of the NFL’s overall multibillion-dollar business, you can definitely bet that they’ll keep innovating and producing even more great content.

What’s really exciting is all the upcoming technology that will be available for streaming and watching the NFL Network in the future. We now have Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Chromecast, Android TV and many more, giving us unlimited access to the unique content and programming on the NFL Network.

The NFL Network has had a huge impact on the way viewers consume sports. Gone are the days when cable was the only way you could watch games and NFL-related shows. Because of the NFL Network, you can now watch all your favorite teams and former players. In fact, the number of NFL fans, both old and new, is—and will be growing significantly in the coming years.

The NFL Network is also finding new ways to connect with younger audiences, with the launch of NFL Fantasy Football and NFL over-the-top streaming. They’ve also allowed in-game updates, fantasy stats and highlight reels to be streamed to connected TVs, mobile phones, and tablets.

The NFL Network also makes sure to include important social aspects. They love having special events in different cities that bridge the gap between the fans and the network itself. It’s all part of a mission to involve fans in the on-going success of the NFL and promote the sport to a larger audience.

I’m really excited about the future of the NFL Network, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us as the years go by. In just a year or two, I predict that the NFL Network will have grown even bigger than it is today. Who knows–maybe one day it’ll become the biggest sports network in the US!

times for nfl playoff games

Time for NFL Playoff Games – It’s that time of the year again – time for the NFL playoffs and I couldn’t be more excited. Every year, the anticipation builds until we get to the big game. And for me, that’s when the fun really starts.

I love getting up early on Sunday to watch the early games and then waiting in anticipation for the Sunday night game. As the games get underway, I can hear the roar of the crowd and feel the intensity in the air. All my friends are gathered around the TV, eating snacks and drinking beer, and it’s one giant party.

The late afternoon games pose the biggest challenge for me. It usually means finding the perfect spot to watch the games – whether it’s taking the kids out for the afternoon or sneaking off to a bar with some of my buddies – and of course, vying for the best couch spot – it never fails.

But it’s all part of the experience and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The anticipation of choosing which games to watch and being able to watch them all day, is something like a kid on Christmas morning. And then when that evening game starts, it’s almost like being at battle – the team I’m rooting for is there, fighting tooth and nail for a chance to be in the championship. That’s the big moment for me – it’s what keeps me coming back year after year.

When it comes to the playoffs, there’s nothing quite like it. From the intense atmosphere to the occasional Hail Mary pass, it’s all part of the fun that the NFL playoffs have to offer. It’s a time for celebration that I look forward to every year.

The following sections will expand on the topic in more detail.

The NFL playoffs are such a great time of year. One of my favorite things about the playoffs is the sense of camaraderie that develops among football fans. Everyone is aligned in their support of their team and cheering it on to victory. I also really enjoy the rivalries that develop between different teams throughout the playoffs. Nothing compares to the energy of two teams going head to head in the most electrifying football of the year.

Another thing I love about the NFL playoffs is how unpredictable they can be. Anything could happen – a surprise play that turns the tide of the game or a heroic performance from an unexpected player. And the way the best of the best teams match up against each other ensures plenty of exciting moments.

Then there are the tailgates, which are some of the biggest parties of the year. It’s a chance for fans to unite around their common love for the game, enjoy good food, and get fired up before the game. There’s really no better way to get ready for a good sporting event.

And of course, as much as the games themselves are great, there’s nothing like football in the post season. The games are more intense, there’s more pressure, and of course, there’s the issue of survival. It’s a time when teams put it all on the line in the hopes of being the last one standing. And to me, that’s the true excitement and thrill of the NFL playoffs.

It’s also a time for men to let loose and show their true loyalties, whether it be wearing their favorite team jersey or proudly displaying their team colors. It’s a great way for guys to express their enthusiasm for their team and help create a shared sense of spirit.

Finally, the NFL playoffs are also a great time for female fans. Even though the league is traditionally composed of male players, women have still always been a part of the fan base. And now, with more women becoming involved in the sport, it’s a great time for female fans to show their support and be a part of the action.

are there any black nfl owners

I woke up the other day with a thought buzzing in my head: Are there any black NFL owners? I was curious to know why this important position was so severely underrepresented while other positions in the league are predominantly held by white people. So, I decided to do some research and share my findings with you.

When it comes to the NFL, the majority of the league’s ownerships is white. According to a 2014 analysis, there were 17 black primary owners, meaning those who own at least 30 percent of the team, and 32 white primary owners. This isn’t a new phenomenon either, as the NFL has been predominantly led by white owners long before 2014. In fact, in 1983, there were zero black primary owners.

As a result of the overwhelming number of white-owned teams, it’s not surprising that the NFL has been charged with racial discrimination in the past. From the lack of proper hiring practices to the outright refusal to sign black players, it’s quite evident that the league has an issue when it comes to the inclusion of the African-American community.

What disturbs me the most about this issue is the opportunities that the NFL has missed over the years due to their lack of African-American leadership. For example, several African-American businessmen—from Michael Jordan to Oprah Winfrey—have expressed interest in purchasing a team in the past, but they ultimately decided not to due to the lack of diversity within the league’s ownership. This is a true shame as these individuals possess the potential to go beyond merely leading a team, but to become cultural ambassadors for the NFL.

It further astonishes me that in this day and age, when opportunities for minorities are increasingly available, the NFL—one of the most popular sports leagues in America—is still predominantly owned by whites. The league as a whole must come together and take the necessary steps to change this deeply rooted issue.

It is important for the NFL to make a larger effort to recruit African-American owners. It can start with eliminating the barriers to ownership and encouraging African-American investors and entrepreneurs to take the helm of a team. Also, the league should prioritize diversity when deciding who to enter into its hall of ownership. Instead of focusing solely on the financials of the prospective owners, the NFL should take into consideration other factors such as race, gender, and ethnicity.

Furthermore, the NFL should set an example for other sports leagues and organizations by actively creating and implementing policies that are geared towards promoting cultural acceptance and diversity. It is only by doing so that the league and its members can truly begin making progress.

Finally, the NFL should actively seek out African-American contributors and entertainers as brand ambassadors for the league. Role models such as LeBron James, Jay Z, and Nas—who have proven themselves to be incredibly successful—can help to spread the vision of an inclusive and welcoming NFL.

Given all the measures that the NFL can take, I am still hopeful that African-Americans will someday play an integral role in the ownership of the league. Perhaps through these steps, the NFL will finally be able to have an inclusive ownership that reflects the true diversity of its fan base.

what is the longest kick in nfl history

What is the longest kick in NFL history? When I think of this, I can’t help but wonder; what is the record-breaking distance of the longest kick ever attempted or completed in the National Football League? I remember watching the 2015 season opener in which a kicker had made a field goal from the remarkable distance of 61 yards. That made me curious about the longest kick in NFL history.

Well, after some research, I came to know that the longest kicking field goal ever was a 64-yarder kicked in December of 1970 by Tom Dempsey. It was an astonishing feat, and the winning points in a 19-17 victory against the Detroit Lions. What’s even more fascinating is that a 63-yard attempt in 2011 was just two feet short of Dempsey’s. It was also an important field goal for the Denver Broncos that allowed them to win a game.

But here’s the thing—Dempsey kicked the 64-yarder with an unorthodox shoe. By that, I mean it had a special design that gave him extra control of the ball, and the shoe also had a square toe for a better kicking surface. The NFL later banned the design of the shoe because it was deemed unfair.

That begs the question, though—how long would Dempsey have kicked the ball if he had a standard shoe? In my opinion, this would’ve been between 70-75 yards! Imagine that—a kick more than twice as far as the longest NFL kick. The fact makes my jaw drop!

And what about the other record-breaking ones that make the list? It turns out that Justin Tucker, one of the NFL’s best kickers, has kicked a 62-yard field goal. Eighty-one-year-old Morten Andersen also managed a 63-yard kick-off in 2000 in a game against Minnesota Vikings. And then we have the longest kick-offs from Ricki Lopez and Matt Prater, both clocking in at 73 yards.

All these attempts and feats have truly pushed the boundaries of what’s been kicked in professional football. It makes me admire all the kickers’ courage and technique behind these kicks, and I am ecstatic to see what record will be broken in the future.

With that being said, some people are saying that in order for kickers to launch longer kicks, the goalposts must be moved farther apart. Others argue that kickers must focus on technique, rather than kicking from further and further distances. Just imagine the kind of training that must go into moderating technique while attempting such a long shot—it’s no surprise that these guys are revered in the NFL.

I also noticed how kickers have become almost celebrities within the NFL. Commercials, interviews, and fan-favorite votes have catapulted them to stardom. It’s so impressive that such a private, difficult part of the game has caught the public’s eye.

Still, it is entirely possible that kickers get even better thanks to modern technology. The use of computer-generated video analysis systems can help kickers improve accuracy, range, and they can also critique individual kicks. It’s no wonder the NFL has been experimenting with such technology. Could this be the beginning of longer kicking feats?

The other day, I watched the 2019 Pro Bowl with my brother and the kickers put on an amazing show, with a whopping 25 field goals made between the two teams. The distance of the kicks ranged from 20-55 yards, all of which were idyllic and inspiring.

With the evolution of kicking technology, technique, and customization of cleats, can kickers soon surpass the record set in 1970? Is there a chance to generate an even longer kick? I sure hope so—it’d be so exciting to see a new record-breaking length!

Training and technology are pushing some boundaries in the NFL. Coaches are now using the Soccer-style kicking approach as a means of generating more power without sacrificing accuracy. This method was born out of the need for defense-level performance and it has been gaining traction as kickers push back against the limits of what is accepted as the “longest kick.”

The use of such methods is evident in kickers like Kaare Vedvik at the Dallas Cowboys and Dan Bailey at the San Francisco 49ers, both of whom have become kickers for their respective teams due to their use of soccer-style techniques. With the advancement of technology and the introduction of new training methods, we can be sure that more kickers can reach even further distances.

These kickers are using state-of-the-art technology, sophisticated technique, and the best cleats to maximize kicking capability. It’s interesting to see how the specialists who did well on the Pro Bowl could go months without practicing it accurately, while still excelling through sheer power.

It’s great to witness how these kickers are pushing the boundaries and giving their absolute best to make it as far as possible. We can only hope that a new record is made soon—who knows, maybe one of these athletes will break the longest kick in NFL history!

can i watch out of market nfl on fubo

I was wondering if I could watch out of market NFL on fubo. If you know me then you know that NFL is my absolute favorite and I will never miss a single game, no matter how late in the night it gets. So having to find clever ways to get my football fix is always something I’m up for. Plus, these days, with the advent of streaming technology, it’s easier than ever.

Fubo is a streaming service that specifically caters to sports channels and offers an array of packages that work for different sports fans. For instance, if you’re into Premier League football or International Rugby, there are a lot of options available. But what I’m most interested in is whether or not I can get access to the out-of-market NFL games.

One of the most exciting features I’ve found is the “Fantasy Football” section. This is an awesome addition that allows me to track the performance of my fantasy football team and see which players are really doing the best. This has made keeping up with my team a lot easier, and its an awesome way to see who looks set to score big in the upcoming weeks.

Finally, no streaming service is complete without a “Watch Later” feature. And fubo has not disappointed here. The “Watch Later” feature allows me to save the games I want to watch to a private list so I can view them at a later time. This is absolutely invaluable because it means I can plan my viewing schedule in advance and make sure I can watch out-of-market games at my own leisure.

Overall, I cannot recommend fubo enough as a streaming service for out-of-market NFL games. It’s convenience, intuitive user interface, and expansive library of content make it something I’ll be using for a long time to come.
